Hi Lyn,

Thought this may interest you, I was at an RA meeting last evening and the doctor there was really helpful and very informative in issues similar to yourself. A patient he was seeing has problems with Neutropenia and infections. He had said his observance of the said patient was aggravated by the stopping of MTX so he put the person back on a higher dose and the man is so much better now. Hope this a help to you. Hi Lorna

Thanks for posting this unusual piece of info!

I can't work out why this would happen! I had problems each time methotrexate was re-introduced and the consultants reached the conclusion that as it was methotrexate induced I would have to stay off it. Since then my neutrophil count has returned to normal but I have been advised to remain off it completely!

I will see what I can turn up on this!

Thanks again

Lyn x
